It's Halloween season, a time for getting your spooky on and remembering our loved ones who have returned to the universe. Read on to discover more about Samhain and the hot trends for Halloween and beyond. Halloween goes back to Samhain, which was a pagan festival. First mentioned in the 9th century and associated with important events in Irish mythology, Samhain was a 'threshold festival', meaning a time when the boundaries between our world and that of the spirits were closer, so that spirits could more easily visit this world. Dead family were thought to visit on Samhain and so a place was set for them during the Samhain meal. No matter our beliefs, it may be comforting to think that loved ones no longer with us are a little closer in spirit at this time of year, so why not get glammed up to welcome them in style. Here are some current trends that will serve you for not just Halloween, but the whole season. Just click a pic to go to the garment. 1. Sheer As seen at Alberta Ferreiti, Dior, Givenchy and more. 2.
