The common theme for this season is midi length. They can be paired with a skimpy bandeau top or a chunky knit and come in all colours and prints. 2. Micro skirts Skirts this season are mostly either super-long or very short. Micro mini skirts are back and this time their defining aesthetics are bold colours, statement prints and attention-grabbing fabrics. 3. Bold monochrome If a bold skirt isn't exciting enough for you, why not try a statement colour all-over. Wearing one just one colour elevates a look and making that colour a bright shade will definitely have all eyes on you. 4. Fresh and minimal luxe If bold monochrome isn't your thang then this trend may be for you. Think neutral, breezy colours paired with minimal silhouettes, in luxurious fabrics or with unique details, such as interesting buttons. 5. Y2K revival The noughties are back! Take your pick from low-waisted trousers or skirts, butterfly tops, denim all-over, crop tops, bootcut jeans, belly chains, halter necks, cargo pants, handkerchief tops and more. 6. Cut-outs Cut-outs have been popular for the last few years and, for now, they are here to stay. Key areas of focus include the waist, hips, stomach or anywhere you're comfortable baring. 7. Sexy power-dressing Take the empowerment of tailored garments and combine them with sex appeal for an exciting combination. If this feels too much for the daytime then try this trend on a night out. 8. Co-ords Similar to the bold monochrome trend, it's all about a matching look from top to bottom. This time the colour and print can be anything you like, as long as the top and trousers or skirt are two halves of a set 9. Boxy blazers For more of a relaxed or androgynous alternative to the sexy power-dressing trend, why not try an oversized blazer. For spring / summer, it will either incorporate really long sleeves, be worn as a dress or with exposed flesh. 10. Biker jackets
Whether slim-fitting or oversized, denim, leather or animal-friendly pleather, the biker jacket has returned. Biker jackets combining leather AND denim are a fresh take on the classic. Comments are closed.
